It’s a major factor in retention. We had a period where members were complaining that the greens were slow and bumpy. Since we installed the new artificial putting greens, those specific complaints have stopped. The surfaces are playable almost immediately after a downpour. We saw our renewal rate stabilise the following year. It was a clear signal to our members that we were reinvesting in their experience.
