The latest update in the policy of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) states that passengers can travel with CBD products. According to the policy, passengers carrying CBD oil and other variants of CBD products can travel, as long as the medication or cannabidiol product is certified and approved by the FDA.

There are many different forms of CBD products but if the CBD you’re carrying with you is in liquid form like CBD oil, you have to pay close attention to TSA’s regulations on liquids. The amount of CBD oil or any other form of CBD in your carry-on bag should not exceed three ounces.

As for medical marijuana, that is a totally different subject and the TSA is firm in its decision to not allow passengers carrying medical marijuana to pass through the airport’s security checkpoint.

Still contemplating on whether you should bring your CBD oil with you on a plane? If you know you’ll be fine without your regular CBD dosage while traveling, it’s better to leave your CBD oil at home to avoid being questioned by the TSA officer in charge.
