If you want to check your computer's IP address then there is a very simple method to check it on any Windows.

Press Windows + R

Type CMD (See below image).

The command prompt window will open.

Type ipconfig and press enter.

Note down the IPv4 Address mentioned in the terminal.

-> Select Control Panel
-> Click on Network and Internet  
-> Network and Sharing Center
-> Click on Change adapter settings on the left side
-> Highlight and right-click on Ethernet
-> Go to Status
-> Details
The IP address will display.

In order to check your IP address of a wired connection,  follow these steps: 

Go to the control panel and click on the Network & Internet icon, and select Ethernet > network connection, your IP address will be next to "IPv4 Address". However, for finding the IP address of a wireless connection, click on WiFi on the left menu pane then select Advanced Options, your IP address will appear next to "IPv4 Address".
