There are many ways to treat sore joints. Some commonly used treatments include:

Joint wraps and supports

These are most common on knee and wrist joints and they help to offer support to the joint during day-to-day activities. They are effective in reducing strain on joints when walking or when you're taking part in, particularly strenuous activities.

Heat and Cold therapy

Using heat-related pain relief such as patches or gels offers effective relief from sore joints. Alternatively, you can ice the affected joints to aid in pain relief.

Rest

If you find that there is a particular activity that is aggravating your joints, it may be a good idea to pause the activity for a while until your joints have had time to repair. If you are having continuous problems, you may need to stop doing some activities altogether.

I suffered for many years with joint pain and used the methods above for at-home treatment. However, my situation improved massively when I started to visit a physiotherapist in Medway. If you want to find out more about physiotherapy, click here to visit the site of my therapy clinic.

You can:

- First apply ice to your joints to relieve pain and swelling;

- after a day or two, try using a heating pad to address any muscle spasms around the joint;

- rest your joints during the first day and avoid any activities that can cause you pain.

If the pain is unbearable, it is possible to take pain killers like Ibuprofen or Aspirin. Though I advise you to visit a doctor or check the info about them on the Canada Drugs sites first.

Bone pain and arthritis can be caused by various factors, including wear and tear, autoimmune diseases, or infections. Arthritis often leads to inflammation, stiffness, and joint pain, while bone pain might indicate more severe issues like fractures or osteoporosis. Management often includes medications, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes to reduce pain and improve mobility. If you're experiencing persistent pain, consult a doctor (561-836-7248) for tailored advice.
