Maharaja Jai Singh II
In the early 18th century,
Maharaja Jai Singh II
of Jaipur constructed five Jantar Mantars in total, in New Delhi, Jaipur, Ujjain, Mathura and Varanasi; they were completed between 1724 and 1735.
