All my life, I’ve never set foot in a gym, and it’s only now that I’ve finally made up my mind. But I’m worried because I don’t know what to do.

tips for going to a gym for the first time

Going to the gym for the very first time can be an overwhelming and even intimidating experience. After all, you’re setting foot into a new environment where you’ll encounter not only machines and equipment but also new people.

It’s okay to feel those sorts of things. But, if it helps, here are some tips you can apply so you won’t feel discouraged or intimidated during your first day:

  1. Wear comfortable clothing. You don’t need fancy gym clothes. Just go with clothing that will allow you to move and work out comfortably.

  2. Explore and ask. A staff will tour you around to get you acquainted with the facility, the various equipment, classes, trainers, and the people there. Do not hesitate to ask questions if you’re uncertain about something.

  3. Don’t take it too hard on yourself. It’s okay to be confused and overwhelmed. You can always turn to the friendly staff at CORE The Gym for help.

Did you know that CORE The Gym members are entitled to a free one-to-one session with a person from their team? Visit corethegym.com to see how you can take advantage of this feature offered by this gym Maidstone.
