What are some good garden path materials? I need options that won't get slippery after it rains.

Here are some of the ones I know won’t get slippery when wet:

1. Pavers: Concrete, brick, or stone pavers are a popular choice. They provide good traction, even when wet, and come in various shapes and colors for aesthetic appeal. The gaps between pavers also allow for proper drainage, reducing slipperiness.

2. Crushed Stone or Gravel: This is an affordable and easy-to-install option. Crushed stone and gravel allow for excellent drainage and typically do not become slippery when wet.

3. Flagstone: Flagstone paths have a natural, rustic look and offer good traction, even in wet conditions. The rough texture of flagstone prevents it from becoming too slippery.

4. Bark Mulch or Wood Chips: These materials are soft underfoot and provide a non-slip surface even when wet. They're also eco-friendly and blend well with natural surroundings.

5. Rubber Mulch or Rubber Pavers: These materials offer excellent slip resistance and are also gentle on the feet.

6. Natural Stone with Textured Surface: Natural stones like slate or granite, especially those with a textured finish, offer good slip resistance and add a timeless elegance to garden paths.

All of these materials have advantages and disadvantages. I recommend contacting a landscaping East Sussex company to figure out which option works best for your use case. As this website shows, most landscaping companies also install garden paths and other hardscaping elements.
