The 2G Spectrum Case refers to the alleged irregularities in the allocation of 2G telecom spectrum licenses in India in 2008. Licenses were issued at 2001 prices, ignoring market value, which allegedly caused a huge loss to the exchequer. The case became one of India’s biggest corruption scandals, involving several politicians, bureaucrats, and corporate entities. After years of investigation and trial, in 2017, a special CBI court acquitted all accused due to lack of evidence, making it one of the most debated legal and political cases in India’s history.
