How to obtain OSP License in India and what are the required documents for the same?

These Other Service Providers or OSPs are required to obtain an OSP Registration from the Department of Telecommunication (DOT). The following are the required documents

  • Certificate of Incorporation of Private Limited Company
  •  MOA and Articles of Association (AOA)
  • Board of Resolution or Power of Attorney authorizing the authorized signatory
  • Name of Business and Activities Proposed
  • List of Directors
  • Present Shareholding

OSP is nothing but the abbreviated form of ‘Other Service Provider.’ OSP provides services such as e tele-banking, telemedicine, tele-education, tele-trading, e-commerce, call centre, network operation centre and other IT Enabled Services, by using Telecom Resources provided by Authorised Telecom Service Providers. 
 

PROCEDURE:


Registration of OSPs and Telemarketers is done by the respective Telecom Enforcement, Resource and Monitoring (TERM) Cells (formerly known as VTM Cells) as per the location of the OSP/Telemarketing Centre.
